Escape to this Romatic and Exotic Vacation to Acapulco and Mexico City...

Built on a calm blue bay, this Acapulco Tour offers one of the most spectacular views in all of Mexico. Feel a touch of romance as you watch a perfect sunset or take your sweetheart on a nostalgic buggy ride all festooned with balloons for the occasion. As night approaches, watch the surrounding hillsides light up like a Christmas tree. Go...With Jo! combines our Acapulco Tour with a tour through Mexico City, the Heart of Mexico and a Taxco Tour, the Silver City, for your maximum pleasure.

DAY 1 - Cross into Mexico at Reynosa, traveling through farm land and on through a ranching area on our way to Cd. Victoria as we journey to San Luis Potosi for our first night in our friendly country to the South. Overnight at the Hotel Real Plaza in San Luis Potosi.

DAY 2 - After breakfast, tour the governor’s palace, the cathedral and the acoustically correct Teatro de la Paz. On our way to Mexico City, you will have an opportunity to stop in downtown Queretaro, the opal center. Or just relax on one of the many downtown plazas as you watch the world go by. Arrive into Mexico City in the late afternoon. Our hotel is right in the center of it all. Tonight an optional visit could be to the performance of the Ballet Folklorico, a history of Mexico in song and folkloric dance. Your guide can help you obtain tickets. Overnight at the Hotel Century in Mexico City.

DAY 3 - All day to tour beginning with the historical zone including the zocalo, the National Capitol and the National Cathedral. Visit Teotihuacan, the “place where men became gods”, with the towering Pyramid to the Sun and the Pyramid to the Moon believed to have been built sometime between 100-600A.D. Tonight you may want to visit Garibaldi Square where the mariachis congregate waiting to be hired to serenade at a sweetheart’s window. Overnight at the Hotel Century in Mexico City. B, Buffet Lunch

DAY 4 - Visit the Shrine of Guadalupe, the most visited shrine in all of Mexico before departing for Acapulco. Your drive takes you through Cuernavaca, the City of Eternal Spring, with a climate so delightful that many retired Americans and Canadians call this city home. Cortez loved the city so that he had a second home built in this pleasing town. Time for a brief city tour before continuing to Acapulco arriving in the afternoon to our beach front hotel. Tonight, from included reserved ring-side seats, thrill to the divers of La Quebrada as these daredevils plunge some one hundred feet into the surging waters below. When we return to the hotel, romantics may want to take a stroll on the beach or perhaps just sit on their balcony as they listen to the waves breaking on the shore at your beach front hotel. Overnight at Hotel Emporio in Acapulco. B

DAY 5 - Morning Tour of the old and the new of Acapulco with spectacular views of the bay. Palm trees divide the boulevard and balloon festooned carriages ply the streets ready to take vacationers for a buggy ride. This afternoon you can spend a peaceful time on the beach or browse and buy in one of the many shops lining the boulevard. Or you may elect to take an optional afternoon bay cruise. Take your swim suit if you want to swim in the calm waters off the back of the boat or wear your dancing shoes and dance with your partner as you sail the bay waters. Then join your fellow travelers for a visit to Pie de la Cuesta watching a spectacular sunset. Overnight at the Hotel Emporio in Acapulco. BB

DAY 6 - Alas, it is time to leave the swaying coconut palms and the blue bay of Acapulco as we travel to Taxco, the Silver City. Bright, cascading bougainvilleas spill over the white stucco walls and across the red tile roofs in this town, designated as a national monument by UNESCO. Included tour of the Santa Prisca church, focal point of Taxco with plenty of time to visit the many silver shops in the downtown area. Included lunch gives you more free time to shop. Tonight, the view of Taxco from your hotel balcony will be exhilarating. Overnight at the Hotel Montetaxco in Taxco. B, L

DAY 7 - Homeward bound today through Ixtapan de la Sal, one of the most famous spas of Mexico, and on to Toluca, a woolen center, where years ago Jo bought a hand made woolen sweater. Then on to the high plains as we head for our last night in Mexico. Be sure to bring your cameras to the Farewell to Mexico party. Overnight at the Hotel Real Plaza in San Luis Potosi.

DAY 8 - This final day takes you through Matehuala, Saltillo and Monterrey as we return to the Rio Grande Valley. You should arrive back at the border around 6:30 pm with memories of a wonderful time on one of the famous beaches of Mexico.
