Tampico & Club Maeva... The New Orleans of Mexico!

Tours to Tampico and more! Tour Club Maeva has offered a wonderful reduced rate for the Winter Texas Season, 2007, and we are passing it on to you. Enjoy 3 wonderful nights right on the beach in the only all inclusive hotel on the Tamaulipas coast. All meals, entertainment and national beverages are included. You will have a wonderful time getting to know Tampico. Transportation will be provided for those who wish to golf. However, the green fee is an additional $40.00 per person and carts would also be an extra charge.

DAY 1 - Tampico, Tampico, on the Gulf of Mexico! Our destination where we spend the next three nights. Travel through the grain growing area of our neighboring state and on into the seaport city of Tampico. All meals and beverages plus entertainment are included at our resort hotel. If you do wish to golf, you will need to set up tee times. Also those who wish to dine in the a la carte restaurant should make their reservations as soon as possible. Overnight at the Club Maeva in Tampico. D

DAY 2 - Today is a great day to just lie back and enjoy being pampered. Try out any one or all of the three pools, walk on the beach, or maybe just sleep late and soak up the atmosphere. Activities are planned throughout the day. If you want peace and quiet, there is a secluded adult pool where you can steal away from all the entertainment. Overnight at the Club Maeva in Tampico. DAY 3 - Explore Tampico from gulf-side to river-side. City tour visits the main square and cathedral and the restored old square surrounded by buildings with wrought iron balconies reminiscent of the lacy ironwork of New Orleans. Seashell trinkets, tropical fruits and pan dulce from the local bakery tempt us. The docks are sometimes restricted but you will have a birds eye view as we cross the Panuco River into the state of Veracruz on the tallest bridge in Mexico. Or you may want to cross with the locals in a water taxi. Your afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the beach and facilities. Overnight at the Club Maeva in Tampico. B, L, D

DAY 4 - Take the high road to Cd. Victoria, the capital of the state of Tamaulipas. The road goes through low lying cattle ranches and later through avocado and orange orchards. Visit the church of Guadalupe located on a rise affording a panoramic view of the city stretched out below. After lunch, head for the border arriving about 7:00 p.m.
