Come experience the history and romance of Southern Louisiana’ life on the spicy side as we tour Cajun Country; re-discover the sights and sounds of New Orleans and drive through the heart of Southern Plantation Country. This tour also includes stops at world class gaming casinos en route.

DAY 1 - This tour begins with an early morning departure from the Valley; arriving around mid-afternoon in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This afternoon we will try our luck at the L’Auberge Du Lac Casino. This Casino boasts 30,000 sq. ft. of the best gaming around; featuring over 1600 slots and more than 60 table games. Our first night we will be staying at their luxury high rise hotel overlooking Lake Charles and dining in any one of six fabulous restaurants on premise. DAY 2 - Leave Lake Charles in the morning with all our winnings as we drive into the heart of Cajun Country to New Iberia, a city seasoned with famous factories, historic homes and lush gardens. Lunch on our own as we stroll down historic Main Street where we can find a number of restaurants ranging from Cajun and Creole dining to quaint sandwich shops. After lunch not far away is Avery Island; we will tour the famous MCILHENNY CO. tabasco factory plus tour the KONRICO RICE MILL, the oldest operating rice mill in the US. We’ll be checking into the Best Western Forest Inn in Franklin that evening. For those of you still feeling a little lucky we are but a few minutes from Cypress Bayou Casino for another night of gaming possibilities. DAY 3- After our included breakfast buffet we board our motorcoach and head on to New Orleans - “The Big Easy” - the sensuous city steeped in history, tradition, superstition and romance. A step on guide will give us a three hour tour of the city; giving us an overview of some of the post Katrina sights from the historic French Quarter to the variety of residential neighborhoods, including the elegant Garden District, a visit to the above ground cemetery and follow the path of the St. Charles Ave. Streetcar to the bustling central business and warehouse district. There will be scheduled stops during this tour. After this city tour we will check-in to the Holiday Inn French Quarter on Royal Street. This evening your on your own to enjoy dinner at one of the many traditional French Quarter cafes, soak up the music or try your luck at Harrah’s Casino. Overnight at the Holiday Inn French Quarter in New Orleans, La. B

DAY 4 - In the morning we have arranged for our motorcoach to take us to Mardi Gras World. See where Mardi Gras is made! We will tour the carnival dens and this time of the year see the artists and sculptors create the world’s largest fleet of floats. The afternoon and evening are free for your own enjoyment. Overnight at the same Holiday Inn French Quarter in New Orleans.

DAY 5 - Today we leave the “Big Easy” and meander the Great River Road towards Baton Rouge. We will tour two Louisiana Plantations for a taste of history and the old south. First stop is Laura’s Plantation. This tour details 200 years of real life stories of owners, women, slaves and children of this sugar plantation. Built in 1805 this farmstead still surrounded by sugarcane, stands with 12 historic buildings, gardens and slave quarters. Our next stop is the Houmas House Plantation. The “Crown Jewel” of Louisiana’s River Road. Once the largest sugarcane plantation in America and its owners amongst the wealthiest in the South. This mansion begun in1805 and was completed in 1829. The original plantation house built in the 1770's rests among great oaks some dating back 500 years. Continuing on the River Road and crossing the Mississippi River we will be stopping for lunch at “The Cabin.” The Cabin restaurant is said to be unique as it is “housed” in one of ten original slave dwellings of the Monroe Plantation. After lunch we make our way to Lafayette, La. Overnight at the Ramada Inn in Lafayette, La.

DAY 6 - After an included American breakfast at the Hotel we return home to the Valley with our casino riches and colorful, historic memories of Southern Louisiana. B
