DAY 1 – Arrive Portland, Oregon, journey down the Columbia River Gorge and dine at Multnomah Lodge near the base of the second highest waterfall in country. Following your included lunch, it’s a short drive to Hood River and its famous railroad. Ride the rails in the shadow of Mt. Hood, ending in Parkdale, then return back through the gorge by motorcoach to Vancouver, Washington to The Heathman Lodge. L

DAY 2 – Ride the Cascade to Seattle, in European rail cars manufactured by Talgo, traveling in comfort as we pass Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier and Puget Sound. Arrive in Seattle in time for brunch in the revolving restaurant high atop the world famous Space Needle. Free time before heading to the Holiday Inn in nearby Everett for a two night stay. BR

DAY 3 – In Everett, you will have a chance to see wide-body jets being assembled in one of the world’s largest buildings. Visit Boeing’s new Future of Flight Aviation Center, lunch is in nearby Mukilteo on the waters of Puget Sound. After returning to the hotel, enjoy a boat ride to Tillicum Village to dine in an authentic Native American Longhouse and enjoy the best smoked salmon you've ever tasted. B, L, D

DAY 4 – Bus to Seattle to re-board the Cascade through Northwestern Washington and across the Canadian border to Vancouver, British Columbia. Lunch—this time by the water’s edge at The Fish House nestled in Stanley Park. For the next two evenings, enjoy the hospitality of the Lonsdale Quay Hotel. B, L

DAY 5 – Our final rail experience begins as we step aboard the Whistler Mountaineer. Enjoy meal service at your seat in the private dome car as we head north to Whistler. Best known as a ski resort, summer in Whistler is no less beautiful as it is surrounded by the majestic Blackcomb Mountains. On the way back to Vancouver by motorcoach, we’ll pause in Squamish, home to British Columbia’s preserver of all things rail, the Western Railway Heritage Park. Back in Vancouver, a gala farewell dinner awaits at the Aqua Riva Restaurant near Canada Place in Downtown Vancouver. D

DAY 6 – Say good-bye to Canada as we cross the border back into the good ol’ USA, stopping in Bellingham for lunch and its newest attraction, the Bellingham Railway Museum.
