Tour of the Holy Land... A Pilgrimage of Faith

The Holy Land Tour – As you stroll the Garden of Gethsemane or pause for a moment by the Wailing Wall, you’ll find this unique Pilgrimage of faith to be a very spiritual experience. The focus of our program is on religion, tradition and history. You will be accompanied by a Catholic priest and by guides who are prepared to offer you an unforgettable journey.

DAY 1 - GATEWAY-TEL AVIV
Depart the Rio Grande Valley for Houston Intercontinental Airport, our gateway city, for an afternoon flight to Tel Aviv, Israel. Complimentary in flight service with meals and amenities on board.

DAY 2 - TEL AVIV-JERUSALEM
After our later afternoon arrival in Tel Aviv, we will be met by our tour guide and transferred to our comfortable hotel in Jerusalem for rest and a welcome dinner. Overnight in Jerusalem. D

DAY 3 - JERUSALEM-BETHLEHEM
Drive to the Mount of Olives for a wonderful view of Jerusalem. At the foot of the hill, we will see the Garden of Gethsemane with the ancient olive trees following a Celebration of Mass at the Church of all Nations. We continue to the Kidron Valley to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, which was built over the palace of the high Priest Caiaphas. Our final stop is the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherd’s Fields in Bethlehem before returning back to our hotel. Overnight in Jerusalem. B, D

DAY 4 - JERUSALEM
After Breakfast, we will enter the Old City through the Dung Gate to visit the Wailing Wall and the Temple Area, adjacent to the Al-Aksa Mosque and Dome of the Rock. Our last stop is the angel ruffled waters of the Pool of Bethesda, before returning to our hotel in Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem. B, D

DAY 5 - JERICHO-QUMRAN-MASADA-DEAD SEA
This morning we drive to Bethany, home of Martha, Mary and Lazarus. Our journey continues through the Wilderness of Judea to Jericho to visit the excavation of the oldest city in the world. Our pilgrimage then takes us to the Fortress of Massada, and a dip in the waters of the Dead Sea. Overnight in Jerusalem. B, D

DAY 6 - MT.ZION-NEW CITY-EIN KAREM
Today we will set off to Mount Zion to visit the tomb of David, the Upper Room and the Church of the Dormition. We then depart to the New City and see the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept. We move on to the Village of Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist and attend Mass in the Church of the Visitation. Overnight in Jerusalem. B, D

DAY 7 - MT.TABOR-NAZARETH-CANA-TIBERIAS
This morning we will drive north up the Jordan Valley to Mt. Tabor, Site of the Transconfiguration. Continue on to Nazareth, and Celebrate Mass in the new Basilica of the Annunciation. Our last visit is CANA, scene of Jesus’ first miracle. Overnight in Tiberias. B, D

DAY 8 - SEA OF GALILEE-CAPERNAUM-TABGHA-BANIAS-GOLDEN HEIGHTS
Today’s splendor is a ferry ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum, where we will visit the ancient Synagogue and St. Peter’s House. Our next stop is the Church of the Beatitudes, which commemorates the Sermon on the Mount, Golden Heights and the River Jordan. Overnight in Tiberias. B, D

DAY 9 - MUKHRAKA-HAIFA-CAESAREATEL AVIV
Upon our hotel check-out, we depart to Mukhraka and Celebrate Mass at the Stella Maris Monastery in Haifa. From Mount Carmel we will stop at Caesarea, amidst Crusader Ruins. Return to Tel Aviv for your last overnight in Israel. B, D

DAY 10 - TEL AVIV-GATEWAY
After a farewell breakfast and hotel check-out, we will transfer to the Tel Aviv airport for our return flight with full meal service in flight.
