INSIDE PASSAGE
Alaska’s inside passage is one of the most scenic sea-lanes in the world, and the perfect way to experience the best of Alaska.
KETCHIKAN, ALASKA
Ketchikan is known as Alaska’s “first city” because it’s the first major community traverlers come to as they journey north. Founded as a fishing camp, Ketchikan is built on steep hillsides and is billed as the salmon capital of the world.
TRACY ARM FJORD, ALASKA
Located 50 miles south east of Juneau, this spectacular glacier-covered fjord has sheer vertical walls that clearly showcase nature’s artistry.
JUNEAU, ALASKA
In 1880, it was slow going for Joe Juneau and Richard Harris as they searched for gold with the help of the Native guides. From their discovery came three of the largest gold mines. Today Juneau is famous not only for gold, but also for its breathtakingly beautiful glaciers and stunning views of both water and mountains.
SKAGWAY, ALASKA
Skagway was the gateway to the gold fields for the thousands who flocked to Alaska and the Yukon with the hope of striking it rich. Skagway may have boasted the shortest route to the Klondike, but it wasn’t the easiest. Today, Skagway has less than 1,000 residents, but it still retains the favor of the gold rush era.
VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA
Once a British colonia post, Victoria is full of historic sites, public parks and groomed gardens. Due to its location, this quaint yet sophisticated little seaside city boasts the mildest climate in Canada.
