Austin & Hill Country Flyer

ALL ABOARD! for an experience from the past. Join us for a train ride through the Texas Hill Country. What could be prettier than a train ride during the Texas Wildflower Season.  Enjoy the beauty of Lake Travis aboard the MV Silent Star for a dinner cruise.

DAY 1 – As we depart the Rio Grande Valley traveling Highway 281 we are hopeful to see the wild flowers as they begin to peek their pretty little heads. A rest stop in the city of Premont with a special treat before continuing to our destination. Arrive in Austin with time time to relax before departing for the docks to board our special cruise on beautiful Lake Travis.  Overnight at the downtown  Radisson Hotel in Austin.  D

DAY 2 – Enjoy an included leisurely breakfast before boarding our charter coach for a short drive to Cedar Park where we climb aboard the Hill Country Flyer for a 2 hour ride through the rolling hills to Burnet. Our motor coach will meet us at the station and whisk us away to Marble Falls for an included lunch at the famous Bluebonnet Café. Their pie is to “die for.” Back to Austin in time to visit Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Enjoy a brief rest and dinner on you own at the hotel or browse the well-known 6th Street.  Overnight at the downtown Radisson Hotel in Austin.  B, L

DAY 3 - After the included breakfast at the hotel, let’s check out and begin our journey home.  Our first stop will be Gruene for shopping, browsing and included lunch at the Gristmill Restaurant. Don’t miss the famous Gruene Hall – oldest dance hall in Texas. Arrive in the Valley in the early evening.  B, L
