Irish Spirit

If you have ever wanted to see Ireland, this is the tour for you!  You will have free time almost every day allowing you to really get in the “spirit”.  Begin the tour with a “shindig” evening with traditional entertainment.  You will see the best of the Emerald Island and no doubt, you will want to return again.

DAY 1 – Depart U.S. for Dublin
Depart from McAllen or your U.S. gateway city in the evening and fly through the night to Ireland to start your vacation.  Meals in flight.

DAY 2 – Dublin Tour & Trinity College
Tour starts at Dublin Airport with a group transfer to your hotel between 7:00AM and 12:00 noon. At 2:00PM join a local guide for an introductory look around central Dublin. Walk through Trinity College to view the 8th century manuscript of the Book of Kells in the Old Library. At your hotel enjoy a welcome drink and discuss your itinerary.

DAY 3 – Farm Visit & Waterford Crystal
Drive through the Irish country to County Kilkenny for stop at a farm in Jerpoint for tea and scones and see what country life is like. Continue south to visit the famous House of Waterford Crystal to see how elaborate trophies are hand-crafted. After dinner in Waterford take a gentle walking tour to learn about local history. B, D

DAY 4 – Titanic Experience & Blarney Castle
Travel along the south coast to Cobh to visit the Titanic Experience. Learn about the people who embarked for the United States aboard the ill-fated RMS Titanic. Visit Blarney to kiss the “Stone of Eloquence” and shop at the Blarney Woollen Mills before driving to Killarney. B, D

DAY 5 – Ring of Kerry and Skellig Experience
Admire breathtaking vistas of mountains, cliffs, and beaches of Ireland’s most popular drive – the 100-mile Ring of Kerry. Visit the Skellig Experience, which explains life on the rocky offshore islands and enjoy a pub lunch. Return to Kerry and enjoy free time. B, L

DAY 6 – Cliffs of Mother & Galway Bay
Take a ferry across the River Shannon to view the Cliffs of Mother, a wall of rock rising above the churning Atlantic Ocean. Drive through the Burren Country and around Galway Bay to your hotel in Galway. B, D

DAY 7 – Connemara’s Beauty
Today explore Connemara, a region of hills, lakes and peat bogs. Take a short walking tour around Cong, the village where “The Quiet Man” was filmed in 1952.  Then view scenic Lough Corrib on a cruise before returning to your hotel in Galway. B, D

DAY 8 – Kilbeggan Distillery & Irish Evening
Enjoy free time in Galway before touring the Kilbeggan Distillery Experience and sample the whiskey created there. Drive to Dublin for leisure time before heading out for a great dinner with a lively traditional show. B, D

Day 9 – Back Home from Dublin
Passengers transfer to Dublin Airport in good time to check in for flights. B
