Mardi Gras

A great venue. Mardi Gras in New Orleans with three parades! Bring your fold up lawn chairs for the parades.  Included  tour of two historical plantations. Those who wish will enjoy a delicious cajun meal in Lafayette while being entertained with cajun music. You will love it! This tour should be a sell out! Reserve your seats early!

DAY 1 - We are off and away with our first night at the L’Auberge Du Lac in Lake Charles, LA.

DAY 2 – 3 - Today, head for New Orleans – “The Big Easy.” Arrive around noon with plenty of time to explore the Historic French Quarter. Meet your guide for the viewing of two night-time lit parades. Check in around 9:00pm. Not for sleepy heads!! Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday. Morning visit to the French Quarter. Then time for an afternoon parade. Our coach will not be too close to the French Quarter so be prepared to do some walking. Overnights at the Ramada Inn in Metairie. B

DAY 4 – Included breakfast before taking the Great River Road. Visit two historic plantations – Laura’s Plantation and the Houmas House Plantation, once the largest sugar plantation in America. Continue through Baton Rouge and Lafayette. Tonight those who wish will enjoy a cajun meal while being entertained by a live band playing cajun music. (Dutch Treat.)  Overnight at The Crown Plaza in Lafayette. B

DAY 5 – Included breakfast. Then it’s homeward bound with wonderful memories of a fun time in New Orleans. B
