Believe it or not, there was a big German influence in the settling of San Antonio. Spend one night in San Antonio visiting San Fernando Cathedral and the King William District. Overnight right on the river followed by a visit to nearby Boerne on the following morning. Tour includes one meal.
DAY 1 - Depart the Rio Grande Valley for a fun filled week-end. Arrive in San Antonio around noon. Tour the San Fernando Cathedral, Steve’s Homestead in the King William District with a lunch stop at the Guenther House. Be sure to visit their store featuring all sorts of things along with the Pioneer mixes. Tonight, enjoy a presentation of Texas Western Music at the San Antonio Rose Live performance in the restored Aztec Theater. Overnight at the Drury Inn in San Antonio. Heavy hor doerves.
DAY 2 - It’s just a hop and a skip over to Boerne and their market days covering an entire block. Be sure to visit the Emporium, a three story display of antiques and collectibles. Lunch on your own at one of the eclectic lunch places before returning to the Rio Grande Valley. B
