Shrine Of Guadalupe

The Pilgrimage to Mexico City and San Juan de Los Lagos is one of my favorite Pilgrimages. The Virgin of Guadalupe is the Patroness of all of the Americas PLUS this is the only apparition of Our Lady where she left an impression of her image. You will feel the reverence as you enter the church at San Juan de Los Lagos – the second most visited shrine in all of Mexico.
DAY 1 – Depart US for Mexico City
Please arrive by 3:00pm. Transfer to your hotel included. Overnight in Mexico City. D
DAY 2 – Mexico City
Today is a very special day as we visit the Basilica and the Shrine of Guadalupe. Afternoon tour of Mexico City. B, L
DAY 3 – Mexico City – Queretaro – Guanajuato
Depart for Guanajuato, the subterrenean city. Tour this colonial city, including the tree shaded central plaza. Tonight after dinner, you may want to go with your guide to the Callejon de Beso, an alley way so narrow that lovers from opposite balconies can lean across to steal a kiss. B, L
DAY 4 – Guanajuato – San Juan de Los Lagos
After your included breakfast, visit Cubilete, where a beautiful statue of Christ the King and a magnificent chapel dominate the hill said to be the geographical center of Mexico. Midafternoon arrival to San Juan de Los Lagos, which has the second most visited shrine in all of Mexico. B, L
DAY 5 – San Juan de Los Lagos – Queretaro – Mexico City
Return to Mexico City for your last night in Mexico. En route stop by Querertaro with their majestic aqueducts and the Convent of the Cross. B, L
DAY 6 – Return to the US.

Faith Based Tours
In 1989, Go With Jo began organizing Faith Based Pilgrimages into Mexico. All of these Pilgrimages were based upon the itinerary requested by the Spiritual Leader. In the last five to six years, Spiritual Leaders of different faiths have requested special tours for their faithful. Many of the groups wanted European and middle-Eastern destinations such as In the Footsteps of Paul in Turkey, Greece and Rome, Medjugorge, Marian Shrines or Holy Land Tours.
If, in the past we have advertised Faith Based Tours, we have done so at the request of the Spiritual Leader as it has not been out policy to advertise these tours. Due to the encouragement of the Spiritual Leaders, Jo is including some of the itineraries for your study. Itineraries can be customized to fit any faith and other itineraries are available. Please call Jo if you would like a special tour for your group.
