The Painted Churches

Another request.  A special trip to Schulenberg, deep in the heart of Texas.  No where else will one find the soft pastel colors and the beautiful paintings of the five Painted Churches near Schulenberg, Texas.

DAY 1 – Depart the Rio Grande on your charter coach. Lunch will be Bar B Que at the famous Oak Ridge Smokehouse. Each church is  different from the previous with intricate paintings.  Peace and calmness settle over you as you gaze at the beauty created lovingly by the artists. Overnight at the Best Western in Schulenberg. L

DAY 2 - After breakfast, finish visiting the churches before we begin our homeward journey stopping in Goliad where you have lunch on your own before visiting the world’s finest example of a Spanish Frontier Fort – Presidio La Bahia.  B
