Hill Country Christmas

There is nothing quiet as enchanting as the Hill Country when decorated for Christmas.  The center of attention in Fredericksburg is the 26 foot carousel like structure that tells the Christmas story.  Not to be outdone, Marble falls boats a Walkway of Lights with 2 million lights and 350 lighted sculptures.  Let’s go get in the mood!  You will love Fredericksburg at Christmas time. _________________________________________________

 DAY 1 – Depart the Rio Grande Valley traveling through San Antonio and into the beautiful Texas Hill Country where we spend the next two nights at the Inn on Baron’s Creek.  Mid afternoon arrival into Fredericksburg settled well over one hundred years ago by German immigrants.  Your driver will slowly drag main street before we check into our hotel.  Some may want to rest while others may want to walk downtown and explore on their own.  Overnight  at La Quinta at Marble Falls.

DAY 2 – After your included breakfast you will have a choice – shop or visit the renowned Museum of the Pacific that is open from 9 am – 5 pm..  Meet for an included lunch before we venture over to the LBJ Ranch for our driving tour through the ranch.  The Texas White House is temporarily closed for maintenance but the Hangar is open to visitors.  Continue to Johnson City where we tour the boyhood home of Lyndon B. Johnson, our 36th President.  Tonight you will be in awe as we stroll the Walkway of Lights in Marble Falls.  Two million lights and 350 Lighted sculptures might just leave us speechless.  Overnight at La Quinta At Marble Falls.       B, L

DAY 3 – Let’s visit main street one last time with an included tour of the Pioneer Museum, a complex covering 3 1/2 acres and featuring the original homes and artifacts of the early German Settlers.  We will be homeward bound after lunch with memories of a wonderful Hill Country Christmas.  B
